What struck me the most about this book was the depth of honesty and vulnerability that Joyce, Renee and Jean reveal to us. Along with this was the encouragement to recreate yourself, and take, what I call, that quantum leap in life in complete trust and faith, as the dependency on "security" fades into the background. The message I got loud and clear throughout this book was, identify your purpose or dream in life, keep your focus on it throughout the inevitable fear, take action steps...and watch the universe align to support you as the creativity and opportunities come flowing in. It is a course that many of us 50+ women are taking as we realize that we are an incredible untapped resource for our planet, as well as for shifting the paradigm of aging for women. Thanks Jean, Joyce and Renee for allowing us to come into intimacy with the moments of your lives and for providing us with a roadmap for "coming out"! G.A. |

| Vicki Hannah Lein inspires me! I watch her traveling around the world with her voice, outrageous humor, love of educating children with joie de vive, and a huge compassionate heart touched deeply with a clarity of expression that might sometimes take you by surprise. All of this as a woman who is legally blind - but don't be fooled, for she will rock your world with her directness, openness, and enthusiastic support of "life not as usual" , making fun of the "sacred cows" and inspiring you to take action and "step into your greatness". | I met Isabelle in Bali, Indonesia at a global healing conference put on by Marcia Jaffe of The Bali Insititute for Global Renewal in 2006. She just so happened to be staying at the same hotel I was, and just so happened to completely fall in love with the Balinese and their culture, as I did. What I noticed right away about Isabelle was that she attracted others to her with her grace, her light, and her ability to engage in an intimate and profound way. A global traveler, author, expert coach and guide, and artist on the side, Isabelle has a passion for assisting others in the transitions of living a full and engaged life. G.A. |

We so very often focus on our weaknesses in a "self-improvement" frenzy...but do we focus on our strengths and how to bring them out into our lives and the world in an even more powerful way? This book was required reading at a women's leadership workshop created by Beroz Ferrell called The Power of You! Within this book is a special number that you use to take an online "test" to become aware of your 5 top key strengths. I wasn't surprised when I found out what mine were...but what I did realize is that not only wasn't I utilizing them as much as I could, but there were applications for my strengths that I hadn't even thought of. I recommend this book to not only discover where you can put your attention, but where you can thrive! G.A. |

I can't say when a book has moved me so profoundly. Many of you know that Sue Monk Kidd wrote two amazing fiction books, The Secret Life Of Bees, and The Mermaid Chair. What I did not know is that the "waking up" from a life of conventional religion and being a traditional wife and mother, was the catalyst for these books of fiction. It was through her awakening, her initiation, her grounding, and her eventual empowerment that she found a passion for fiction while finding Herself. The story that Sue Monk Kidd tells of her passage is one that many of us are called into. It is profoundly and incredibly sacred and takes courage, focus and strength - a journey that both women and men can wake up within. G.A. |

Having read Jean's books in the past, it had been a long time since I had revisited her writing. A friend reminded me of her work, and within a few hours I had several of her books by my bedside, this being one of them. She invites women (and men) into the understanding that women hold keys to creating the shift that has "peace" and "sustainability" at its core. The history of what has gone before is eloquently offered to the reader, followed by courageous examples of the way to mobilize and create change. If you need some inspiration to follow that inner voice into action, and join with other like-minded women, then this is the book for you. WildlyFreeWoman would love to hear what is touched within you after reading this book! G.A |
